Jim Cooper is a very versatile and committed bass player from Wolverhampton. Experienced, working with many different groups - both live and in the studio, Jim offers his services as a session bassist, available for work in any musical style - nationwide and at short notice - for live work or recording.
Other groups include Pink Floyd tribute Darkside - The Floyd Show, U.S. hip hop trio elevatedSOUL, latin/jazz drum & bass group Torre Bert Quartet, the progressive jazz outfit Fast Idiots, indi-noir trend-setters Aquila, electro/acoustic group Remnants and singer/songwriters Dan Whitehouse, Reuben Archer, Aaron Yorke and The Zombie Elvis.
Jim was also a founding member of the pioneering space-jazz afro-funk ensemble PaperTiger.

Centrally based, Jim is reliable and flexible and can be expected to provide complete bass rig, guitars, effects and transport.
Bookings taken for all types of session work - live shows, studio sessions (either by the hour or daily) and tours. As each session is different from the next, session rates are determined individually.
